Our Aims

  • To provide a learning environment led by healthcare professionals

  • To support mothers on  how to build a safe and secure attachment through creativity

  • To enhance the development of children and reduce the impact of adverse childhood experiences

Meet the Founder

Mommy N Me came about from years of solutions gathered from mothers requiring support from our founder - Caroline Sode.

Caroline has over 10 years of experience and education working with mothers and children. Caroline started with a BA Honours in Early Childhood studies followed with a Bsc Paediatric nursing and has recently completed a PGdip Specialist public health nursing. The depth of experience gained is with children from birth to 18 years old. Caroline has worked within nurseries, schools (mainstream and special), hospitals and the community.

Caroline's childcare experience encouraged the creation of an environment where parents can have support, help and encourage a child's development in a fun-filled way. Evidence-based research states a positive outcome for children who build secure attachments and reduce the chance of physical and mental ill-health. The statistics of psychological and physical ill-health in low socio-economic areas such as Croydon, Southwark, Newham, Essex etc., are declining, and the goal is to intervene at an early age to reduce these rates.

Jennifer has over 9 years of childcare experience with children from birth through to five years, some of whom have had complex needs and required one to one care. This was based in several different settings within the childcare field, such as nurseries, schools, volunteering abroad with HCPT and individual families. The depth of Jennifer's childcare knowledge stems from her level 3 in Early Years Educator, Bsc Human Communication Science, and recently completing PGCE Early Years Teacher Status.
Combining these courses has enabled Jennifer to centre her understanding and create activities to encourage speech, language, and communication development at Mommy N Me events, which can be mirrored at home.

Along with Mommy N Me, Jennifer has organised and led children's sessions at her local library called 'Making sounds with Princess Jenny' for children ageing 1-5 years. Activities took on a similar nature whilst linking to multiple areas with the EYFS (encouraging speech, language, and communications development, physical development, expressive arts and design and many more).
